Will SEC Approve Spot Ethereum ETFs: 60% Probability Given

According to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart, the SEC will approve spot Ethereum ETFs with a 60% probability.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this week delayed applications for a spot Ethereum ETF by BlackRock and Grayscale.

Seyffart said that May 23 is the date to watch out for spot Ethereum ETFs. The SEC will rule on the applications filed by Ark/21Shares and VanEck by that date. The SEC could still postpone that date, Seyffart said.

If the SEC doesn't find a way to reverse or delay this whole process and wants everyone to enter the market at the same time, it will probably do so on May 23."

Seyffart thinks that if spot Ethereum ETFs are not approved by this date, the process could drag on to 2025.
